Avocado Hummus

1-Step Avocado Hummus

This incredible dip is the perfect snack to make for your friends and family (or to treasure for yourself!) The hummus and avocado create a creamy blend that is filled with delicious spices. You’re getting twice the benefits when mixing avocado, which has loads of healthy fats, and chickpeas, which are packed with fiber. Try it with anything from pita chips to our tasty plantain chips!


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup chickpeas (How to Cook Dried Chickpeas)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 medium ripe avocado 
  • Juice from ½ a lemon 
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder 
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients, except for the paprika, into the food processor 
  2. Blend for about a minute 
  3. Add to serving bowl and sprinkle with paprika powder
