This zero waste homemade popcorn recipe is hard to beat. Next time you need a quick and delicious snack, try this super easy and zero waste recipe. And better yet, try it with organic popcorn. Did you know that 92% of popcorn grown in the U.S. is generically modified and therefore not organic certified. Well, we found some organic kernels you've got to try. After trying this, you'll never make popcorn another way again. So easy and zero waste!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels (we like organic!)
- 2 tbps olive oil
- 1/2 cup nutritional yeat
- Sea Salt
Instructions
- First, grab some popcorn kernels (in bulk or in one of our compostable bags for zero waste!)
- You’ll also need a reusable silicon 'ziploc' bag, olive oil and any seasonings of choice (we’re using nutritional yeast and sea salt for a cheesy taste!)
- Fill bag with 1/4 cup of kernels, add olive oil and seasonings, shake and microwave for 2 min. (Leave a small vent while sealing)
- Voila! Now you have a yummy zero waste popcorn snack.
