Coconut Whipped Cream (vegan)

Easy Coconut Whipped Cream

Fresh whipped cream with coconut flavor - what a dream! Perfect for topping off baked goods or jazzing up your morning coffee. Note: this recipe does require prepping ahead: pop your can of coconut milk in the fridge the night before you plan to whip it up! 

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of full-fat coconut milk*
  • 1 Tbsp coconut sugar (optional)
  • 1 Tsp vanilla (optional)

*For some reason, some cans of coconut milk work better than others.  The two than we’ve found most consistently work for us are the Whole Foods brand and Native Forest

Directions:

  1. Place can of coconut milk in fridge overnight 
  2. Remove from fridge, and open can upside down (so, open the bottom); pour out any water that’s separated 
  3. Put solidified coconut cream in a mixer, and whip on high for 3-5 minutes until fluffy with peaks
  4. If you're using them, mix in optional ingredients (coconut sugar and vanilla)
